You are thinking it is harder than it is. No heel toe is required (I have never heel toed in my life). I row through all the gears on my way down for every slow down (unless a panic stop of course) and rarely even touch the brakes until 2nd gear.


This of course is day to day driving and track requirements will vary.


How long do you allow your car to engine brake inbetween gears? I find myself going too quickly and end up with 2nd gear revving at like 5k RPM
