Unless the owner of the car did it thinking it would look cool to other people and gets thoroughly butthurt when someone says it doesn't. Lots of people around here are obviously in denial on why they're really doing these things to their cars.

But you assume that since you don't like it everyone who does is in denial. Ergo you are in fact inflexible. How am I "doubling down with my fingers in my ears" by refusing to change my opinion based on yours? You bring me a good reason why I shouldn't make my car the way I want and I'll change my mind(tip: because you think it's dumb isn't good enough)
