Yeah, a flat six massaged by Yamaha would be an absolute blast. 300 hp and the sound would be fantastic.

I DREAM OF AN ENGINE LIKE THIS. YAMAHA HEADS. A V8 is cool but the thought of a 300hp Boxer six at the same bore and stroke as our 2.0 liter is my thoughts since getting the car. Revving one out to high RPM makes me giddy. I always liked the sound of the Porsche GT3 engine winding out. It sounds so visceral in person. The GT3 is my dream car. Just not one of the latest model (no manual).

One of the reasons I chose the Rousch Mustang over the ZL1 Camaro is it's Coyote Engine. The Coyote revs to the 7000rpm redline in such a linear fashion and pulls up at the top of the rev range. That's similar to the FRS. Chevy LS engines have more bottom end, but the Coyote once you're at 3000rpm..... just stick it to the floor and HOLD ON. It's cool that feeling of surge in the high RPM range, can't get enough of it.

I live in Florida now and the roads are glass smooth. It allows the high revving cars to reach the redline without hitting a bump. What a difference compared to my move from the Jersey Shore. Most roads had my modded Maxima feeling like a Jeep. Living close to all the racing here at Daytona has brought me to a culture of motor heads. I'm about 50 miles north in St Augustine. I had a choice of this area or San Diego to retire. I used to live out there in San Diego every winter surfing. I think I made a good choice moving to Florida. The people as a whole and the police respect "Car Guys" and all the noise and fun that goes with it. And you can mod your car to the nines. California law enforcement still has problems with custom cars and noise. Impounding a car and losing it is scary. But talk to me in the summer and I'll tell you how freaking hot it is in Florida. I get excited when I hear from people my age still having fun. Kick me if I fall down and I'll get back up.
