Not really an odd compliment in general but just funny, to me:
I play in a coed softball league and I drove my new FRS to a game. My GF (who plays on the team) announced to everyone, "Everyone needs to check out Steve's new car!" Then one of the girls said, "Wow! Is that Steve's??? I was just telling everyone about this really badass car in the parking lot!"
Never had a car anyone called "badass".
