hey guys! Just had my new clutch installed due to the symptoms of a bad throw out bearing. Symptoms included: "water through copper pipe sound" when clutch pushed in, loud high pitch squeaking at idle, and car would would shut off if i held the clutch while in neutral without revving above 1k rpm. I have 85k miles on my car, mostly highway with a ton of canyon driving. Noticed the first symptom sound mentioned around 83k, the 2nd symptom at 84k and finally the 3rd symptom at 85k. I feel i got extremely lucky i didnt get stranded anywhere since i use my car for work. I think this is definitely a faulty part and if you guys are still under warranty they should cover it with no cost. Heres the pic my mechanic sent me of my TOB, he also gave me back my old clutch and pressure plate because he said they were in great shape, including my flywheel.
