Do what math? Again you are giving the general public way more credit for knowing cars then
most deserve. For all most know a Scion or a Subaru is an up scale exotic and costs a fortune. Unless they are actively shopping for a certain car most people just do not follow cars and know the prices or values. That is reserved for car nerds like us and as much as we consider such things common knowledge it really isn't that common.
