Here's a tip if you have only a bathroom scale available. Weigh yourself while holding the tire/wheel combo, then weigh yourself alone. The difference is the weight of the tire/wheel. With a good scale it can be damn close.
The key is to get the scale within the intended range of weight, i.e., people for a bathroom scale. I've even weighed my cat this way and it is surprisingly accurate. Matched up nicely with the vet's scale.
