The FR-S is a Scion only in badging in the US. It wasn't "Scion engineers" - it was Toyota engineers. Also, as mentioned, that's an actual 86 which has never even seen the sticky side of a Scion badge.
Also - the FR-S is still a platform that's living on. Only the badge is changing.... back to Toyota.
