It does, when people associate modified cars w/ wreckless street racers that have no regard for life.
The more we don't care about this, the more the laws will change to target enthusiasts.... it's already happening, LAPD is cracking down on street racing in ways I've not seen since the early 1990s, and some of it is dragnet-type responses that lump
ALL enthusiasts as street racers.
