I don't know how much you've read about these units but I'll give you some quick cliffs notes. There are a bunch of similar android radios under different brand names that are essentially the same (Klyde, Joyous, KGL, etc.). You can flash a firmware from any brand and it works with no issues. You can NOT flash an MCU from another brand onto your unit. So if your unit is Joyous, you can only flash JY MCU. My unit is a Klyde so I can only flash KLD MCU. What I'm getting at is be careful when you flash MCU because if you flash one from a different brand, you will brick your unit. But, you can flash firmware from different brands so you can take advantage of different home layouts and widgets etc. I recommend you read through the first page of this thread and visit any links that may interest you. There is a ton of information and various mods people have been done to improve these units.

I recommend the JY v.2.59 with sleep and redesigned sound processor from
darkleo from 19.06.2015 MCU.
Here's my Eonon unit, which is manufactured by Klyde. It looks almost identical to your Joyous radio.
