It all depends. I bought the MT because its all Ive ever driven. Never spent more than an hour in an AT. I did enjoy the AT while I used it.
My gf wants to get a FRS/BRZ and I tell her get the AT. You never risk losing a clutch and I assume the 0-62 time is faster on the AT since (unpopular opinion) the computer can shift faster these days. (Idk how fast it shifts on ours though)
Tldr; Go for it but expect to replace a clutch or two
