these 225s are wide enough to notice they're bigger than stock, but I'm not getting any rub and my ride has improved considerably. there's grip for days compared to the stock tire, so as much as I'd love fat rubber all around, I'm pretty content with this.

That's kinda what I was hoping to hear.
I'm not looking for laps records - just that little bit more. I also don't think the downsides to tyres bigger than 225 are worth it for what I want (weight, rubbing, cost, etc)
