Both very good suggestions. I've had both sizes (215/45/17 Michelin Pilot Super Sport and 225/45/17 Bridgestone RE11A) and have yet to break them loose unintentionally. I'm also SC'd, albeit not Cosworth. IMHO, any more drastic change in size/width would change the balance of the car.
