A base C7 Corvette comes with 245 front and 285 rear at 455 horsepower so roughly 9" wide wheels up front and 10" wide in the rear should do the trick, no body kit required with the right wheel offsets and some fender massaging. tl;dr the rocketbunny is mostly for looks, you can fit a good amount of tire on an 86 without mawds and compound > size.

I have 18x9.5's on my brz with no WB kit and it barely has any poke (not enough for cops to bother me about it) si RB kit is useless if we are strictly speaking tire width and clearance
