The one I cut in half to allow the boot to slip over it is probably the same one @
Ketchum88 used. As I understand it he took the whole boot assembly apart and screwed the retainer on from underneath.
It will not fit without doing one or the other. Cutting it is probably the fastest way, and allows for easy removal and return to stock.
I don't have a link. It must have 10x1.25 thread, should be easy to find.
