Tcoat, I was thinking along those lines until I stuck my head under there to check that panel. It's about as thick as a match cover. I don't think there is enough substance for a screw to get hold of.
That would have been good back in the old days, when cars were made out of stuff other than plastic.
Maybe plumbers tape and pop rivets would be better, if the duck tape doesn't stay on .......
