the bead needs to be in the airstream to function properly otherwise you'll get a false reading?

Hi Matt, the Belt cover is the Carbign Craft Carbon fibre cover, trimmed down to fit. In order for me to be legal on the street, it is a requirement for my charger pulley and belt to be covered, so this seemed like the best option. The stock A/C and alternator covers sit underneath it.
As for the alloy sandwich, my boost gauge is running off that. It does not seem to make any difference to my readings whether installed or not, as that was my first thought as well.( I'll pull it off again just to double check and be sure)
Yesterday was 37C with 98 percent humidity and today is shaping up to be about the same. Giving the front exchanger a mist with a spray bottle will make the temps drop rapidly, so everything appears normal. I live on the Gold Coast, and we are in the height of Summer here, so I think it may just be a case of climate ?
