I think the rail strike is just a convenient excuse, otherwise if this was the reason Scion Canada would have been pro-active about this and released an official statement to their customers. In business these days its important to deflect blame in order to maintain your reputation. If indeed it was the rail strike they would have a fabulous excuse to use. They have not said anything, smells like a cover-up to me. They messed up and don't want their reputation to suffer. In my opinion the silence is worst because it allows everyone to think what they want. Never owned a Toyota but, when I purchased a vehicle from Acura they where pro-active about their communication. My car was delayed by a month so they arranged for a loner vehicle until mine came in. We'll have to see what the service is after the fact but thus far, I would really think long and hard before buying another Toyota. My experiences with Honda, GM, Acura and BMW have been much better. Although the Acura was the only other first release vehicle I bought, the others had already been in production.
