Not officially, no. There isn't a company that would make such a statement publicly because they want people to forget that they are there to make a profit and the business strategies are kept low key.
They have however officially given many other indications that this is the case. Just compare the level of marketing committed towards the WRX compared to the BRZ as an example. Even the web sites sort of scream "look at this WRX" and
"oh by the way we have this BRZ thing as well".
