Too bad you will have to give up your little sporty car ..... for the next few years at least.
OK, what to buy .. ?? 4-door vehicle, yes, most important. More power ....not as important (you may find that your priorities will get changed, when you have a little one strapped in the back seat).
I recommend you buy on the lower end of your transportation budget ..... because, the "child budget" will be larger than you anticipate.
I suggest you get a NEW vehicle, with a good safety rating, that your fiancé/wife is comfortable driving.
