The high boost pulley does provide a little more down low and in the midrange, but I was wary of how much power it puts out up top. It's all about how much torque the motor is putting out. So if you can reduce the peak cylinder pressures and torque via reduced ignition advance or cam timing, 12 psi can be safe up top as well.
Looking forward to hearing how that works out for you. With that option, you could theoretically ask for different maps (each producing different top end numbers) and swap between them without going back to the tuner right?

Ways around that limitation is to choke the intake on the supercharger with a restricter plate reducing total boost or install a wastegate on your charge piping that vents boost to atmosphere at a certain psi. These are not commonly done although hks kit does come with a restricter.
lol right, so you'd control it the exact same way you'd control a turbo. Once boost hits a certain psi, wastegate opens and vents the excess. Thats what I'd want to do, looking to see if there are any ways to do it with this kit or if I should just stick to the normal pulley route. You cant control how fast the supercharger spins just like you cant control how fast a turbo spins, unless I'm missing something?
