I've been contemplating getting back into HPDE in the FR-S and competing in SCCA autocross with it. I'll definitely continue to be at most of our local PCA events in the Boxster (I'm active on the PCA autox committee).

I've been thinking about STX for the FR-S only because of the potential need for brake and cooling upgrades for HPDE use. I'll be lucky to make more than a 3 or so HPDE's in a year, so I really don't want to put a bunch of money in the car for a "maybe" use.

If I go the C Street route for SCCA autocross, what mods would you suggest that won't be a waste of money should I end up going the STX route? I don't mind having an extra set of 17x7 wheels, so that wouldn't be wasted money.
Most people run 17x9 in STX and are forced to stay 17x7 in CS. That being said, another set of 17x7 would then be a waste of money if you want to be nationally competitive. The only things I could think of that carry over for class prepared cars might be brake pads, a sway bar and fluid refreshing.
