For a true 1:1 on a dynojet, 5th is the most correct gear on standard USDM gearsets with an MT. But for tuning purposes we'll frequently use 4th to fine tune things, since it is a shorter duration and easier on the car. Then do a 5th gear run to finish things off and make sure no additional knock takes place under the longer duration load. That'll also give the most accurate number when comparing to other dynos/locations.
