The original idea in our cars was to use a stiffer rear spring or at least similar rates in all wheels. A few manufacturers changed this layout and installed softer rear springs. For example HKS had a similar coilover with a 60N/mm front and a 40N/mm rear spring rate. Overall, this layout gives an easier to drive and a more confident car especially on public roads (rear end is much more predictable). Nevertheless, the 40N/mm and 30N/mm rate from Ohlins is too much in this direction. I think they tried to give to our cars a GT like (comfort) feeling which is wrong. Our cars are sports cars and not GT cars. If I wanted a GT car, I would buy a German one.
