I look at it this way: for that price, you aren't only paying for the hp bump. Ultimately, you are also paying for the forethought and design they put in (ie ease of install, specific hardware like brackets and molded hoses, lack of modification to existing parts, etc.), near stock driveability, pending CARB compliance (if, like me, that's important to you) and a limited power train warranty (although plenty folks will disagree).
