depends what offset i have 18 by 8 +44 offset with 235\40 tyres only about 10 mm clearance with about -0.5 neg camber , you would not want to go closer than that rearly 8.5 at that offset will be 6mm closer ie about 4 mm clearance

legally you can only go to +40 in oz due track limitation change. but if you dont care you would be wanting to get an offset in the +37 range to give yourself clearance at the front especially if you want to run some negitive camber
