Yes TRD bits are not that cheap even when supplied as part of the car hahaha.
The TRD model is NZ$20,000 dearer than the GT86 over here. So you either have to be very dedicated.... or nuts.

Most of that cost is the Brembo BBK and the forged wheels. It's a valid argument that the brakes are far more than what is required for the power the car puts out, but then I don't think you can you can have too much braking. Even if you drive it hard, you won't over tax them, they won't overheat and warp the the rotors and they NEVER fade. Even with all the trackdays I do, I can get 12 Months out of a set of front pads and they aren't even race pads.
