I believe that's not exactly true as the setup is what determines the torque range. Eg, small turbo = low RPM torque, medium turbo = mid range RPM torque, and a big turbo makes high RPM torque. Superchargers might have better response due to being directly mounted to the accessory belt but a small turbo can provide good low end torque and fairly quick response and when off boost there isn't nearly as much parasitic drag.
The sky can be the limit for both a blower and a sucker. I always boils down to how much $ you have, how much HP you want to make and how much your car can handle.

SC=minimal lag
TC=needs oil feed line/can produce some lag/boost creep

SC seems to be more exclusive to the US while the rest of the world is running TC... weird!


I would prefer a turbo!! Nothing says "oh shit" better than a front mount intercooler!
