This makes sense to me, because I only have problems at higher fuel levels (above 3/4's of a tank) at turn 12 of Phillip Island:
Apex speed is around 160km/hr (~100MPH) and I usually experience starvation straightening out at roughy 175km/hr (~110MPH)
You can sort of see it in this video, right before I shift to 5th.

It sounds to me like you have a different issue; at 3/4 of a tank, even turning the car sideways completely, would not starve the pickup.
Are you NA? What fuel pump are you on?
