Don't quite have your setup since i have the OEM audio plus system. But what do you mean xhifi is the only one that works? Are you sure you're installing the right version because when you download you get 2 versions (2.3 and 4.x). I don't mean that as an insult to you btw, I mention it because I made the mistake myself. Make sure you're using the 4.x apk.
Also use covolvers. If you're not using covolvers you're not unlocking the potential of V4a IMO. The best I've found is here:

fyi majority do not work for me. But BBE-2 is the best of the ones that work. Also towards the bottom of your v4a options there is an option for max output did you try turning that up? Hope some of this helps!
