the trouble with the stock sintered rod is they are a complete lottery, they are essentially a big mass of cracks just waiting to happen and the extra load can push them into the dangerous part of the SN (fatigue life) curve so they could last 10,000 more cycles or 1000,0000 more cycles
unlike a proper material you cannot predict the fatigue point with any great accuracy
which is why we settled on the cylinder pressure figure we did
