Cld materials (raamat, dynamat etc) reduce panel resonance at the panels natural resonance. Ie, the frequency you would hear if you tapped the panel.

That said, if you have an exhaust drone, cld materials can reduce that, because drones heard in the cabin are usually panels vibrating. You'll know you have a drone when it only happens over a very narrow rpm range. Speeding up or slowing down will eliminate it. In that case, I'd recommend Knukonceptz Kolossus. It's the same price per square foot as the packages listed above, for just a cld, but that cld performs 4x as well as raamat.

If it's just a loud exhaust and not a drone, the only way to quiet it is a mass loaded barrier. This is something like mass loaded vinyl or lead sheet decoupled by thin foam on both sides. That has to have 100% coverage on all panels below the window line to truly be effective. It's also heavy, as your adding just over a pound per square foot.
Okay so my issue is definitely with the drone. I end up driving above 5K RPM sometimes just to avoid the drone. I prefer 5-7K over 2-4K since thats where the drone is. Opening the window also kills a lot of the drone that bothers me. So I guess that reinforces the likelihood that I'm dealing with noise from panel resonance?

I'll look into Knukonceptz. First time hearing of it.
