Most of the real problems with these cars are the tail lights condenstation and maybe the ECU being replaced because of engine sensors (I had this done, check the ECU reflash TSB) Besides those things and maybe the syncros being bad are all you really should worry about. Only some people had catastrophic engine failure and it occured mostly within 30k miles.
