Anecdotally, I've been driving around my car for about one year and 12k miles with a squeaky clutch, and nothing has come of it. Took it into the dealer last year when the problem came about, they drove it around with me and replicated the noise, and told me it's "normal." Stupid.
Perhaps unrelatedly, the flywheel makes a bit more chatter noise now than it did one year ago. Driveability is the same (read: fine). Annoyance level is the same.
