If MT, how did you set it? I followed the instructions in the manual but I can't get the gear indicator option to pop up even though I toggle through the menu. So, I assumed it was only for AT cars and gave up.

I struggled with that forever when I was first playing with the car. What the manual neglects to tell you is the 4th button position will not show up with the car running. Just turn the key to the first click (accessory setting) push the odd (odometer not strange) button until the toggle screen appears and you can turn on the indicator as per the manual.
