However, you're becoming a bit defensive in your own thread and reaching to call out a member who has done more research and testing of his "theories" and put them to test at the track than most others on this forum. While I understand where you're coming from, don't forget who you're posting about and perhaps stay a bit more on track. Not many here have more experience dissecting the fa20, fabricating parts, conducting on street and on track testing, along with collecting empirical data that you can actually reproduce. Some of these replies inherently qualify your own assertions with contradicting examples on either end of the inconsistent spectrum of blown motors. If there were provided dyno sheets, diagrams of failed and or upgraded components, any videos, etc, we may have all been more reserved and less forthcoming with arguments on this thread.
We've all seen the same forum threads about blown motors you have, including this inconclusive and summarizing generalization of a thread, so I'm not sure what any of this proved...
What part of needing to upgrade bottom end components for any motor to sustain increased stress in a reliable fashion is news without talking hard facts and numbers? I'm still genuinely curious what characteristics of this motors connecting rods, in your experience, make it more of a liability and which replacements are you suggesting for which applications?

Your right I did get defensive and here is why, My whole post was my opinion, read it, it says my opinion. Yet some people want to tell me I'm wrong and I don't have very much knowledge on this platform and it shows. It's upsetting. Especially when you can read my post and then try to twist it to look smart.. Well that sure didn't work and the butt hurt begins.
Some People get on here and blame everyone but themselves for there blown motor its sad some don't take responsibility for being cheap and rolling the dice. What's even sadder is the clique rolling over and trying to defend it. Their are new people on here everyday looking for answers and advice. Some are thankful some want to argue it's simple show me where I'm wrong. I can admit when I'm wrong but no one has came forth with data and tried it. They just think people should believe them on merit. Doesn't work that way. At least I show where I'm coming from in the original post. I have raced some of the fastest FRS/BRZ out there on a N/A motor 1/4 mile. And no one is even close to me here in the USA to this moment. The fastest people N/A are From P.R. and its only a 1/10th of a second faster than me. I've have put in my work no one can deny that.
I spent countless hours of research building the FA20 I helped redesign a set of sleeves that are made by L.A Sleeve. No one on this forum knew anything about or at least didn't post about the longer valves in late model engines, GSC didn't even know about and made me a custom set and put them into production. And don't even mention any other valvetrain companies because I checked and they didn't make them either so I waited .Pushed 644hp at 29PSI and 521tq I believe. (dyno sheet not in front of me) And now I'm working on 2 new products for the FA20 to make 35 or more psi of boost and live. All these people on here talking smack need to put up or shut up because running your mouth and not bringing anything to the table is lame!! So bottom line is you don't have to agree with my opinion and what I think is safe go ahead and push the stock rods but don't blame the tuners for your mistake. Go ahead believe in the 300hp N/A Unicorn motor that no one has seen but please explain why you would run F/I if the same results can be gotten N/A.
Toyarzee I applaud you for your well written and well received message thank you. I will gladly help you anyway I can.
