I'm not sure if anyone has identified the magic number that determines the need for forged internals. I think we all agree that forced induction creates additional stress as does countless upper rpm hours typical with track use. Eventually things break.


My plan for sustaining a forced induction setup with frequent track use is simple:


I have a high boost JR system ordered, which will be flex fuel tuned. Track days are exclusively E85 and I plan to have the rev limiter lowered to 7K for the primary map. At the moment I am at 8K for 3&4gear na. Of course there will be a second map with higher rev limits for those times when you just have to say WTF.
