This topic has been rehashed here so many times I can almost predict who will say what.


Any time now some young dude will say to coast down all hills in neutral to save gas.


One of the older guys will say that is wrong because in gear the compression is turning the engine not the fuel system and since in neural the car is still idling it is burning more gas.


Young guy will say that is not what his buddies tell him and he has seen the results himself on his mileage indicator.


Older guy will say that is impossible and go into a 1,000 word essay on the subject.


Young guy will call him a hater and that the info is garbage because he saw it with his own eyes.


Everybody will pick a side and tag team the subject to the death.
