No you wont get a CEL from a Catback , you either have other issues like an exhaust leak near o2 sensors or sensor problem
CEL code for CAT efficiency is P0420
It very likely your cel is due to your intake throwing off fuel trims/or AFR causing rich/lean CEL codes.
next time it come up read the code.
