I did test drive a 2016 cooper s and it was good. But it was lacking in that hard to explain joy of driving factor. It didn't make me want to take the long and twisty route instead of going directly there as much as my 06 still does. The 06 still puts a smile on my face every day on my commute. Well at least when it's working properly

its a pretty tight pack between Mazda 3 and the impreza. A lot of good cars on the market now
