@speedy07 ..... I support this recommendation.

Even if Texaco sold you some "bad" gas (old or half water) the engine compartment shouldn't be smelling of raw gas.

For those of us ( @Toyarzee ) who have experienced a gas fire in an engine, will attest to how scary it can be.

Like ….. smelling gas and popping the hood on my old 1948 Chevrolet, (with a homemade 3 single barrel carburetor manifold) and seeing gas spewing gas out of the top of the center carburetor ......
