So... I found a 2013 for sale with 43k for sale at a local dealer.
It was a single owner, and excellent carfax - well maintained - 4 new tires too. All service & recalls done. But there were 3 services noted that didn't say what was done.
The subaru dealer that performed the service is on my way to work so I dropped by with the vin # to find out what was serviced. I learned that the rear tail light got water in it & was replaced twice, and the screen for the radio/nav system was reported to looking like being cracked (this was in the first few hundred miles). It turns out it was never cracked, but the owner confused that design over to the right as "a crack". LOL
It's funny cause the dealer remembered this owner - they said she was an old lady! She drove the car like an old lady too from what they told me - very carefully, like she was driving a big ole cadillac. Knowing that the car was serviced & maintained by a reputable subaru dealer made me feel good, but this was like I just scored a cream puff car. Except for the mileage it looks like new!
So here's the "1 thing" - I'm loving the car, and today, the rear few mirror issue (wobbly/falling off) pops up for me.
It looks like I'll be getting that fixed - but otherwise, the car is tight - no squeeks or rattles, and I'm loving every minute of driving it. I was surprised at how much it was to insure the car as well - living in NJ, I was expecting to get raped, but was pleasantly surprised to hear it cost less than my subaru crosstrek to insure (same year - 2013 limited)!
I'm looking forward to many more miles...
