I just installed my RCE yellows and got the same spec rims. Haven't mounted it yet but I'm planning to shove the stock tires on for the time being since I have plenty of tread left.
Planning to go with the PSS as well once the stock one wears out. Mine's also a DD so I'm planning 225/45/17s (maybe 235/45/17...undecided still) since I don't think I'll be supercharging the car any time soon. For you, 235/45/17 should be more than safe for clearance. I don't think you should worry at all about the overall weight of the wheel set up and odometer reading since you are supercharging it!

That long wait for the supercharger though. LoL! I'm 20 days into the wait. I'm getting my suspension installed over the weekend...then getting an alignment in a week.
I'm not too too worried about the wheel/tire weight as much...though I'd prefer to go lighter if I can given the budget constraints.
Ended up with the RCE Yellow's, SPC front camber bolts, and SPC adjustable LCA for the rear because the supercharger happened. If the car ran out of the box like it does with headers and e85, I'd have spent the money on a set of Ohlins and nicer wheels. I have to have gold though...unfortunately, the selection for gold wheels aren't plentiful when you dont want to spend 400-800 bucks a wheel. Enter XXR 527/530...problem solved.
Per Tirerack...the weight of PSS 235/45/17's are the same as 225/45/17's. Coming off of 215's, you might be able to feel the change in steering feel if you go straight to 235's. There's that and the speedometer difference with the change of tire dimensions...lesser with the 225's than the 235's. Again, you do end up with the pro's and cons for the said tires.
You could also get better performance when cornering with proper alignment.
For what I'm using the car for, I cant justify spending another $5-6k for the tires/wheels/coilovers that I would like to have. The sub $2k I'm about to spend on the suspension bits, wheels, and tires make more sense.
Besides, dropping $12k in addition to the $27k I paid for the car adds up to $39k...another $2-4k and I might as well have just dropped the money on an STI. Still, the BRZ is not the STI. Maybe down the line...
'08 MX5 is at 36K, '12 Focus is at 64K, and '15 BRZ is at 16.8K miles.
