Don't worry about weight from the wheel or tire, those 1-2-3-4lbs means nothing when you have a supercharger and no traction. Look for people with the 17x9 +35 setup, most run 245/40, ask RCE, they could probably give you some info and reassurance that they won't rub. RE11 is a 200 treadwear rating tire, and max performance, don't expect it to last more than 15k miles. I would also advise you to look into hankook v12 evo 2 if you want a more budget oriented performance tire that lasts 20k+.

Get the 8.75 wheels, they are better for the supercharger and fat tires... Tires, 245/40, 235/45 or 255/40. My choice would be 245 or 255.
I had a feeling. LoL!

Only thing with 8.75's is that they only come in 18's.

I'll be looking into those as well for the sake of going with 245/35/18 (24.8" vs. the 215's 24.6") . Seems like the 245/40/18's are on the huge side at 25.7" diamter.

I guess there's also tire wear to consider. Suddenly, going 235/45/17's isn't a bad thing with the only down side of having the speedometer off by 2mph at 70mph.

Thanks for taking time with all my inquiry dude. I really appreciate it. I just tend to over think things before deciding on something.

I hear you about having more tire to better put the power down. Price is a consideration and going 18's mean dumping more money.

Edit:

If fundage allowed for it, I'd like to be on Ohlins, RPF1's in 17x9 +35's but that supercharger set me back a bit and I have to run wider tires for that extra power. So these XXR's are being considered just so I can mount wider tires.

Maybe when I can afford some coilovers, I'll go with wider RPF1's in 17x9 +35 and 255/40/17 (25" diameter vs. 24.6" diameter stock).

With all things considered (grip/ spring perch rub/ cost of tires/ tire wear, ride comfort/speedometer difference), I've come to the conclusion that going with XXR 527 in 17x8.25's and MPSS 235/45/17's (25.4" diameter vs. 24.6" diameter stock) will be what I'm going with.
