Verify that you have the Type 'A' harness. That is the same one I had from the factory.

I just installed a backup camera kit. It didn't come with the correct pin (Aftermarket Type 'B'). So, a similar issue.

The one that you want for the OEM harness is available on AutoHarnessHouse. They have crimped connectors for the OEM harness. You just need to splice the wire back down to the reverse wire behind the kick panel.

Make sure you pick the OEM style one for Type A and Aftermarket Style for Type B. It seemed to work for me. Oh, and make sure you lift that latch before sticking the pin in. It won't fit in otherwise.
So Shell type A and B are different, and I need the A? Just to confirm =p
And if I buy the one from autoharness, I must use the pin extraction tool before pushing it in the 28-pin connector to be able to clip it on?
