Hks flash editor problems with v3 sc

So I recently purchased a v3 hks supercharger, install went great, very happy with the way it turned out. I then go to install the flash editor system with their supplied tune. I spend countless hours trying to use their software and get stumped when trying to get my pc to read my ecu and transfer the tune to the flash editor. I called them the next day to see what the problem was, to find out my ecu id# is the one one not in there registered system. So now my car is not safe to take home from the shop that I installed it at. On the phone I was told that they knew about this problem but I had no fair warning about this. They do not have the unsupported ecu id#'s on their website, nothing. They only have it listed on the box that it comes in that it may not work on all ecu numbers, I cannot return the flash editor to the distributor like hks told me to cause the item was sold in a pair with the sc. Which is fine because the distributor had no clue about the problem as well, and as far as I see it, it is in no way shape or form the distributers problem. I understand that return policies on electronics are very strict but I feel like I got hung out to dry on this one with no to little help from hks. I recently talked to them on the phone for them to get in contact with hks Japan to see when this problem might be fixed. Still waiting on an answer. Hope this helps someone
