Damn, when I was 17 I had my grandmas 91 ford tempo.. Honestly I despise kids who's parents buy them brand new cars, because I feel you don't appreciate things as much when they are just given to you. That is today's American youth though the give me generation.
I also didn't read this thread so I dunno if OP is in this boat, I'm just saying what I think about that.
I'm also 28 now.
