The prices of scion really appeals to alot of people. The new "fully loaded" IM cost only 18k while the IA cost 15k and not to mention that its the same platform as the camry. They really need to step away from trying to market cars to the average younglings and just market it to everyone. Most younger audience will always buy used cars over new car due to their income. Most of them doesn't even have credit to start off with.
As for the badges, just dont go over board and put a lambo/ferrari badge. People who do that are just attention whores/Ego herders (excuse my language). Its like trying to be something youre not.
