So I finally got an updated tune to reflect the new header (SEMA slowed things down a bit for me), and believe it or not the tune quieted things down some more. Not sure how or why, but wahoo! All I can say about the header is wow! The midrange is ALIVE! With the stock header and the Jackson racing super charger, there was a massive surge in power from about 4500 RPMs. Now, the surge is softened because the power from about 3000 RPMs is noticeably greater. Now on a WOT pull, things are exciting from 3000 RPMs all the way to redline. This header has subtly transformed this car into a quicker beast. I really discovered that when I was rolling at about 3000 RPMs in first gear, floored the throttle and the tires broke loose immediately. My car would never ever have done that before this header, even with the supercharger. It was about 50 degrees F outside on 245/40 17 Dunlop zII's. Like I said, pre-header, my car didn't really wake up until above 4000 RPMs. It was quicker everywhere with the supercharger, but was very tame below 4000. Now, it doesn't have such a dramatic transition from sluggish to powerful, it just pulls like a beast much, much earlier in the RPM range. Wow! Very surprised with the results, and very happy!
