This happend just 5000km after the V-2 has been installed with the 3.125" pulley.
I am wondering if the extra heat by the shared oil with the engine caused a belt failure or of maybe one of my pulleys was not perfectly aligned. Nevertheless I will get the 2.87 pulley installed this wednesday and I already have a Gates HD belt ready for installation.

Do you guys know any alternative for the gates belts? I am looking for a reinforced or extra strong one in particular which is compatible with the 2.87" pulley!

I had the same thing happen to me. With mines, my belt somehow jumped the rib edge of the AC compressor pulley and sheared in half. Since I replaces the belt, I haven't seen that problem since. I believe the belt was not aligned on one of the idler pulleys properly causing it to slowly make its way out of alignment on the AC compressor.
